I am on the team !!! I am on the team !!! I am on the team !!!
After missing all the calls which came while we were driving back from our long road trip from Malaysia. I finally received the all important email from My Little Shoebox coordinators last week. It was a real torture keeping the secret but now I can finally tell everyone that I'm on the design team. I cannot wait to get to know all the 21 talented ladies to the team. Please do visit the MLS blog for the entire list.
Here is one of my MLS layout to share:

The flowers just make everything seem so peaceful here. And you know that I've been hoarding my MLS papers just my looking at my layout.

I love my handmade felt flowers.

Some stitching on the paper.

I love the effect of the paint on cardstock. I used one of my son's toy to "pull" the paint across of paper. Did you notice the banner across the page ? It's actually made up of bits of blooms that I cut from a piece of My Little Shoebox paper. With a little twist, flowers made really pretty banners too. Give it a try.

Circles make me happy recently and I cannot help using them in the layout.

Layered clouds.

Cute little houses.

Just in case you thought I was just relaxing during our roadtrip, here's a page I did during one of those rare naps that my little one took in the hotel room. The challenge was to make use of 4 types of flowers in a page. Here I used dandelions from Hambly, chipboard flower, a set of handmade flowers I made from cardstock and a tiny flower sticker at the bottom of the page.

I still have not got the hang of taking a picture of a layout with an overlay. Somehow the light still gets reflected off the overlay.

Here's the reveal for Papier House's June challenge. This month all you need to do is include any form of wings on your project or layout. it's that simple.

In this layout I have used several butterflies.

A simple use of masking to add texture to the page.

Sorry for the radio silence. I was busy with the packing for our road trip and we left on the last day of the month so it was a challenge to get the blog post up by then. Anyway, there is a new challenge up at Ed's Sketch and it's time to bring out your sentiment stamps.
Check out this month's sketch:

Here's my take using the pictures of the little one sharing his water with everyone. He had to make sure everyone actually took a sip of water from his bottle before he was satisfied.

I covered the notebook I have been planning to alter for the longest time with a nice pink fabric and then added a little bit of this and a little bit of that and finally this came about.

A notebook for my everyday stuff. I can't get enough of the 7G tape.

A piece of good news to share - I'm the featured member for the month of May at Your Scrapbook Stash !!! Thank you Erica and Liz for picking me. It's a pleasant surprise.

It's starting to raining again over here so I'm hoping for cooler days. The school exams are over and the kids want to visit the zoo. If the weather cooperates, we might just be able to make it there today. Anyway my home feels like the zoo any day of the week with the boys acting like little monkeys. Here's one of the cheeky monkey with his funny faces.
